Terms & refund policy
These terms explain how Clearway Institute courses work and when you can get your money back. By buying or using a course, you agree to them. Last updated November 2026.
What our courses are
Clearway Institute offers self-paced online educational courses in anger management, parenting, co-parenting, and substance abuse education. They are educational only. They are not therapy, medical treatment, or legal advice, and they do not replace professional care or advice from your own attorney.
Court and program acceptance
Whether a certificate is accepted is decided by the judge, probation officer, agency, or employer who assigned your course, and requirements vary. We cannot guarantee that any particular court or program will accept a certificate. Please confirm with them before you enroll, especially whether they accept online, self-paced classes.
Certificates
You receive a certificate of completion when you finish all the lessons in your course. Each certificate has a unique verification number that a court, agency, or employer can check on our verification page.
Payment
Courses are a one-time payment. There is no subscription. Payments are processed securely by Stripe, and we do not store your card number. The first hour of each course is free to try and does not include a certificate.
Upgrades
If you need more hours than you bought, you can upgrade from your dashboard and pay only the difference between what you paid and the price of the longer course.
Refunds
There are two ways to receive a full refund of the amount you paid for a course:
- Court does not accept your certificate. If the court does not accept your certificate after you follow our guidance, we will refund the full amount you paid for the course.
- Changed your mind. If you contact us within 14 days of purchase and have not started any paid lessons, we will refund the full amount you paid. The free first hour does not count as starting.
To request a refund, email us at support@clearwayinstitute.com from the address you used to buy the course and tell us which course you purchased.
Your account
Your account and course are for your own use. Please do not share your login, and do not copy, resell, or redistribute course content. Keep your login details private.
