For probation officers, attorneys, and courts
A participant may have given you a Clearway Institute enrollment letter or completion certificate. This page explains what those documents are and how to check them.
What Clearway Institute offers
Clearway offers self-paced online educational courses in anger management, parenting, co-parenting, and substance-abuse education, in lengths from 1 to 24 hours. Participants work through the lessons on their own schedule, or at a weekly pace of one lesson per week if they choose that option.
The courses are educational. They are not therapy, treatment, or legal advice, and they are not a substitute for a certified batterer-intervention, domestic-violence, or substance-use treatment program when your order requires one.
Check a completion certificate
Every certificate shows a Certificate ID (it looks like AC-4F7K9QRT) and the address of our verification page. Enter the ID there; no login is needed.
A valid ID shows the information printed on the certificate:
- the participant's name
- the course name and its length in hours
- the date the certificate was issued
An ID that is not found means no certificate with that exact ID exists. Check the characters for a typing mistake, and contact us if it still does not match.
Go to certificate verificationEnrollment letters
When a participant enrolls in a paid course, they can download an enrollment letter showing that they have started. The letter shows that the participant enrolled; it does not show that the course is finished. Only the certificate does. If you need to confirm an enrollment letter, email us with the details printed on it and we will check our records.
What verification does not tell you
Verification confirms that Clearway issued the certificate and what it covers. It does not mean any court, probation department, or agency has approved or must accept Clearway's courses. Whether a course satisfies a particular order is your decision. We do not tell participants that a course will be accepted, and we encourage them to ask the issuing court, officer, or attorney in writing before they enroll.
